Writing a synopsis is a strange skill in itself, and not many writers enjoy it. If you’ve ever found yourself staring at your manuscript wondering how to shrink it down without making it sound flat or confusing, you’re not alone – that’s where I come in.

This can be booked as a standalone service or alongside other editing work. If I’ve already worked on your manuscript, there’s no additional reading fee. If it’s new to me, a reading fee will be included so I can get a proper handle on the story before writing the synopsis.

The aim is a clear, professional synopsis that does your story justice, works for submissions, and meets industry expectations without feeling like a chore to read.

Reading Fee (if required)
If I haven’t previously worked on your manuscript, a reading fee applies so I can fully understand your story before writing your synopsis. This is not charged if I’ve already edited or beta read your work.

Up to 30,000 words – £50
30,001 – 60,000 words – £60
60,001 – 90,000 words – £70
Over 90,000 words: + £1.50 per additional 1,000 words
