Early Morning Edits is rooted in my life as a writer – and the clear, steady focus found in those first hours of the day.
I’m an editor, author, and CIEP member who’s spent years working on both sides of the page. I know how personal writing can be, and how much work (and occasional loss of sanity) goes into a manuscript, so I approach every project with care, honesty, and a proper working relationship with the writer.
I’m most drawn to shaping plot and structure, crafting synopses from the ground up, and cutting anything that isn’t pulling its weight to make a manuscript feel tighter and more focused. I bring clarity, rhythm, and intention to every line, all without stripping away your voice.
My approach is straightforward and supportive: professional, honest, and with enough humour to make the process feel relaxed and a lot less daunting – helping you feel more confident in your story along the way.
Outside of editing, I’m happiest exploring the great outdoors – often from the comfort (and sometimes chaos) of my campervan. It’s where I find fresh perspective, meet interesting people, and occasionally get reminded that real life is often stranger (and better written) than fiction.

Payment & Contract Information
Once we’ve agreed a slot and talked through your manuscript, I’ll send an invoice and contract for you to review.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upfront to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due within 7 days of completion.
The contract just sets out the basics – scope, timeframe, payment, and confidentiality – so we’re both clear before any work begins.
If you’d like to talk through payment or timing, just let me know before booking and we can work something out where possible. Payment is via PayPal.
